After a long wait we, Zombiefan564 and I, have decided to release our new mod: The popular survival gametype from MW3 in MW2. The mod is still to be improved, so consider it a beta.

 

 

I suppose there's not much to say, so I'll post some videos and the download link. Be sure to share your thoughts on the mod!

Credits:

Rendflex and Zombiefan564 for creating the mod itself.

EMZ for the amazing work on making the menus.

The mod is based on Tinkie101's RSE bots, so full credits goes to him for the AI system, even though it's slightly modified.

Momo5502 for making the helicopters.

 

Bugs which affects gameplay:

 

* Bots might get stuck at corners.

* The mod becomes laggy in dedicated servers, and is therefore not recommended to use on dedicated servers.

- the bots dissapear even if you dont shoot em.

 

one thing i noticed is that the helicopters are gonna be to OP for some players, but i like that... BTW guys this mod is F.EPIC!!! 8-)

Well, i kinda stopped at wave 23, as i wasn't able to buy anything since wave 15 (i think).

Not sure if it is supposed to be like that?

BTW: I played on crash and it actually was quite easy to escape from a 'zombie mob' by running.

Anyway, nice work.

Still I had few issues like :

 

- Lack of annimations with bots (I think you already know about this and it's not that much an issue)

- The HUD does not fit all the stuff with my 1280*1024 screen

- I could not buy predator missiles and bombing with the killstreak store

That was my idea too, but how would you notify it through script? Unlike Tx, you can't "print" clientdvars through scriptmenuresponse.

 

Well, no real need to print them directly, although the code would look cleaner then.

I got it to detect the resolution correctly. (the pic is resized)

SP maps will be added if someone makes waypoints for those maps, as we've used the waypoints which came with the RSE mod and those do not support SP maps.

 

I added waypoints for contingency, but the bots still don't shoot and the weapon armory is outside the map

did not work, I followed everything in the video and when I choose MODS in the game it just freezes..

1. open the game.

2. Write on console fs_game mods/Survival; vid_restart

3. Open the game and start a private match

Back when this was aIW I downloaded a modified RSE that had waypoints for Burgertown, Oilrig, and the credits map. Here is an attachment to it. This should help the waypoints part.

Wish It was but the some of the killstreak's aren't done and much can be improved with the bot's.

Am I the only one who noticed that in the release trailer, in 0:06, there is the MW3's terminal but with MW2's AK-47 and MW2's survival mod?

edit: nvm. It is IW4's terminal, only the minimap changed

I tested it today. Really cool mod, but need some bug fixing.

1. Hud don't fit in 1280x960 resolution.

2. You can't buy things like: delta squad, riot shield squad.

3. You don't hear sound when you reloading USP. (looks cool with single hand)

4. Enemies stars dieing and you can complete wave without doing anything.

We haven't finished the squads, so the expensive price was a lazy work-around.
