Is it possible to connect to a server using Internet browser?

For example:- If I need to connect to a Teamspeak server, I can click on a link like this: ts3server : //eurots5 . gameservers . com: 9173 (had to add spaces, cuz it wont let me post URLs )

I hope they make a feature, this will be good for clans as they can put a link on their websites so that users can click on it to direct connect

Or they can just leave their IP and PORT on their website and users can just ''connect IP:PORT''.

This would make for an interesting feature, though

However, leaving a port and IP then telling people about the command is nearly just as effective

If someone feels like writing a .reg file to install the handler, it would work (as long as LaunchIW5M passes arguments to the game and the game uses them it should work)

I tried that already, and it didn't work. So I assumed that LaunchIW5M.exe doesn't handle it.

I left the .reg files here for whoever feels like doing tests with it -> viewtopic.php?t=11911&p=95353#p95353

or copy iw5m.dat and rename that copy to iw5m.exe

 

Create a shortcut and put +connect ip:port on the end. faster way to connect tho.

This would be an awesome feature if it was ever done... especially IW4M.

It was available for M1, but 4D1 doesn't support M1 anymore.
