Yeah, some do, but as it's just an expression for me, I don't care who says it. Bottom line, there are both religious and non-religious idiots = religion has nothing to do with how stupid/annoying you are. Don't hate religious people just because they believe, if you're going to hate them, do it for a better reason (IE. constantly trying to make you believe, like Jehovah's witnesses knocking on my door every few weeks.)

Exactly, I met more atheist that like to point that out in any situation possible. Religious people usually don't care much. I preferr by far to hang out with religious people, because they NEVER bring religion up. Atheist are annoying.

They can believe in things they wish to believe, but it is not forced upon all atheists. Atheism is in some ways, 'freedom', and you can do what you want. People do what they want, but they cannot be used to describe atheists. Atheists, apart from the basic fact of 'they do not believe in religion', cannot be described. One single atheist cannot describe another atheists.

Atheism is not a religion, but just as atheist think that religious' people beliefs are false, same goes the other way around, religious people think that believing that God doesn't exsist is false. That's the relation that koop tried to point out. Now, I am just as annoyed by a religious man pointing out his beliefs all the time, as I am annoyed by an atheist pointing out his lack of belief. I am yet to figure out myself what to believe. I have problem with religion itself, but not with God, as in, I'm not ruling out the possibility that some more intelligent creature created the life on Earth, or even our whole universe when you think in the way of "what's behind" and multiverse, because we could be just another particle in a larger world. That's what God is in theory, a creature out of this time (= forever existing, meaning it existed before the creation of our universe) that created everything. And that's one of the things I like about the idea of Afterlife (even though I find it extremely hard to believe in), just imagine all the knowledge you'd get that you'll never know in this life. The meaning of life! (It's not 42)

i don't see how any deity in any religions could exist, as their given attributes are incompatible with the world's condition and history, even in the texts in which they are described. look at how "god" allowed jews to get fucked up for 2000+ years.
