You're right. He tried to attack every midle sea country including greece , italy and other. While some of the people just surrendered (Italy) others put up quite a fight (Greece). And if im not wrong we were nowhere close his mother fucking motherland. You have no idea how wars start. All the big countries were preparing for that kind of war years before it started, both in weapon manufacturing and soldier training. When they are ready, all they need is an excuse to attack. Hitler faked Polish attack on one of Germany's radio stations (not sure what it was exactly), he trained few soldier to speak Polish fluently and made them attack it so listeners would hear guys speaking Polish on air that are attacking the station (Again, I'm not sure this story is 100% true, but that did happen in similar form) and that was his excuse to attack Poland. His attack on Poland was an excuse for other countries to attack Germany, so they started WW2 actually.

What if I tell you that Italy was an ally of Germany BEFORE the WWII broke out? They both supported the Spanish civil war on the side of the nationalists and the germans supported the Italian invasion of ethiopia (or estonia, I'm not sure and cba to look it up), and Bennito Mussolini actually even had a nazi flag on the map of italy. Oh, and the Greek actually put up a fight against Italy and knocked them out of greece, then Germans invaded and the greek fell withing a couple of weeks.
