Not being able to edit classes while being connected to a server was always a bit a pain. So I made this mod to enable it.

At the end of the game you will see a button in the summary to open the cac menu.

Instructions:

Put the files located in the folder 'ui_mp' into your game's folder m2demo/ui_mp

Put the file 'IW4MCACPatcher.exe' into your game folder (or refer to read.txt) and run it to launch the game

 

Bugs:

- The scorebar in the summary menu (page_summary.menu) is not as diagonal as originally (not really important though tbh).

- If you don't close the menu before map changes it will be bugged. Type /openmenu cac_popup_preview;wait 100;closemenu cac_popup_preview in console to fix it

It's client only. The server does not need any modification.

Very nice. I always felt like the standard 30 seconds was a waste of time.

The patcher launches 'IW4MLauncher.exe', then waits for 'iw4m.exe' to start. After that it patches 3bytes in the game's memory to disable a check.

 

There is really no need in releasing the source code, the important part is just

Is that from a few weeks ago? While working on increasing maxclients ( viewtopic.php?f=30&t=23532 ) I accidentally tampared with the aCI module in IW5M. NTA removed the ban though.

Also nice thread, but I hardly doubt that it's possible to port it to IW4. I mean, not even NTAuthority managed to do it. ^^ But I wish you could look, as we can see there's already commendable progress in IW5M.

You don't need to tell me that. I know both languages and so far I have never meet a single developer, that told me something good about Java.

Do what you told me. Put it into your IW4M folder inside the appdata folder.

 

C:\Users\(User)\AppData\Local\IW4M
