Change default values to be more PC-oriented and competitive:

Default FOV = 80

Default Maxpackets = 46 (utilizes 25-33% more frames for hitreg at both 91 and 125 fps) <50 = promod rule

Default MaxFPS = 125 (to utilize 120 hz screens)

 

Now to the game features that are most likely returning:

Dev Console and RCON so both clients and remote server admins can affect settings in-game

Server Browser for Dedis

Maybe some extra filter options, like password, empty, full, mods (yes/no/all)

Support for Mods and Custom maps

Support for custom Health (especially 70 hp with no 2nd perk)

Support for scripts that replace certain perks/deathstreaks/attachments with others

Support for Anti-Cheat Intelligence aCI on every server, loved it!

Some kind of Friendlist/Invite system, through steam or 4D1 community IDs

Login system for the Client (using 4D1 community ID) to prevent returning hackers

 

Optional fixing of bugs/imbalances IW left in the game:

Ump45 change damage to 40-25, to not allow SMG ranged oneshot in HC without SP or HS

FAL change damage to 55-40, so Holo Sight is not required for 40 min damage

Scavenger: Prevent resupplies of grenade launchers, rockets and claymores

Spawning with One Man Army automatically removes noob tube attachment

Fix Demo Recording, or auto-record demo for DLC maps (up to 10-20 matches saved at one time?)

 

IW4M1 server browser still works and i can play :) so i am glad! let us know when the steam version is done!

Actually, IW4M is based off aIW2 and I really liked aIW2 so I don't really see anything that needs to be added except :

 

A client like Steam / Xfire that will enable you to contact, call and join your friends unless you guys decide to use steam.

I already know what features were in IW4M2, this is just a small request, most important are the fov and maxpacket and fps settings, together with dedis and mods and aCI

 

thats why i put balances in the bottom, because they are least important, but still good ideas

I agree with the maxpacket and fps settings, but as for the damage tweaks... I don't think they're good ideas. If you want to change things like that, make a mod. Forcing this for everyone would be a bad idea imho.

I agree with the maxpacket and fps settings, but as for the damage tweaks... I don't think they're good ideas. If you want to change things like that, make a mod. Forcing this for everyone would be a bad idea imho.

Indeed. If you wish for gamechanging values to be tweaked, you should make your own mod. 'Regular' players should play the 'regular' game, those who don't want it can look out a bit further to find what suits them.

For the other fixes, I agree. Mostly with FPS, since it seems to be the touchiest of the subject. Perhaps setting our own limit or removing it?

if you really missed out on the UMP is overpowered discussion and why everyone uses it with cold blooded in hc etc... you might reconsider the simple change i suggested. 40-35 damage means ALWAYS 3 SHOTS, or 1 in hardcore. it is like having no fallof... like an LMG. it also does 49 min damage with SP, which is more than all other automatic rifles/smgs in the game.

 

making it 25 min damage gives it 3-4 shots without SP and 2-3 with SP, and it still oneshots in HC with SP, a trait it can get away with as long as it gives up cold blooded for SP. THE ONLY BULLET DIFFERENCE IS ONE BULLET AT RANGE IF NOT USING STOPPING POWER, which is reasonable and the way SP works for all other guns

 

And the FAL was supposed to be 40 min damage from the beginning, the 40 min dmg is already in the game, just a bug locking it to the holographic sight. I just want it to be more accessible even it you run silencer or FMJ or ACOG/thermal.

I have the same opinion about Scavenger for GL and rockets(i really hate guys whith GL and/or OMA), but claymors??

We only can have 2 claymors at the same time.. Why god why? :?: :?:

You're mad if you think any of those features will be done. It's part of a game, no matter if the majority hate them. The game's foundations shouldn't really be changed, that's what the game was made like, and that's what it should stay. Our job should be improving the gameplay indirectly, whether by adding new features (not weapons or shit like that) or by improving what we have. Fiddling with the skeleton of the game would make more of a mess than it already was.

Now that the client will have to interact with steam somewhat 'intimately', that magical client might be steam itself.

(I remember pics being posted of aiw working with steam a while bak)

Last stand is so inferior to steady aim and ninja so it is almost never used :) except in hardcore maybe

and you cannot replace grenade lauyncher with shotgun, because you have to earn shotgun with grenadelauncher kills
