Status update:

Implemented an iwd check.

If you want to play match mode, you will have to use an unmodified promodlive_v3.3.iwd and it has to be in mods/promodlive_v3.3. (fs_game has to be "mods/promodlive_v3.3")

 

If you want to edit the promodlive_v3.3, you will have to rename the .iwd.

(You can't play match mode then)

 

I will always post the checksum of the official mod here, so that players can verify through console command that they are playing an umodified version in clan wars. ;)

Update should be available pretty soon in the svn.

Will the final release's .gsc files be compressed like in v3.2? That would make it alot more of a pain to bypass... ^___^

 

Yes i think about that. About the bypass: its easy to bypass the text pop-up but not the rest... i wont say more ;)

BTW: If you want to check if a server runs an unmodified version of the mod use:

 

sv_referencedIwds

and

sv_referencedIwdNames

 

in your clients console.

 

It will show something like this:

So the last two numbers are the checksums of promodlive_v3.3.iwd and z_custom_ruleset.iwd.

The official ones are (for now, until i change somehing):

z_custom_ruleset: 943789304

 

Normally there is a pop-up message "Server violation: Modified promod .iwd detected" every few seconds

if the promodlive_v3.3.iwd is modified (in match-mode), but that can obviously be removed.

Just tested it and the menu is awesome :D. But there's a problem, i was having a war and the message who says to reconnect if we have menu issues always pops up --'

 

Always? It only pop-ups for me on connect when i have to choose my class to be able to spawn.

And if you change team, since you have to choose class again then.

But you can only see it once, since the thread gets killed as soon as you press the start button, or changed class through a bind.

I don't think its a big problem, as it should only popup once each map (first time you choose your class) in a war usually... But i can just disable it comepletely for match modes, as players who are playing wars normally know about the download support issue...

Thanks for answer ;) I think it's better to remove it in wars versions. Btw, my mate noticed that it generally pops up when someone change his class :S

I will remove it for match modes.

Aww, my fault, i forgot the self in front of iprintlnBold.

Thats why it pops-up even when someone else has to choose class...

Gonna fix that too.

 

EDIT: Fixed. And the reconnect message wont show at all in match modes now.

 

EDIT2: Fixed some more things:

 

- fixed bug in strat time where you could throw nades, flashes and smoke

- added magnum to the sidearm menu

EDIT3: There is an error which is most likely related to the weapon files.

It seems like the error only happens on map change and after a certain number of map changes.

 

ERROR: Exceeded MAX_SURFACE_TYPE_SOUND_LISTS (16)

 

I can't do anything about that at the moment, as it is seems to be an issue with the way 4d1 clients/servers are handling the weapons files...

 

@beta-testers, some of you please pm me your servers console_mp.log after playing a war. ;)

It used to be there, but the latest revision update removed both... :|

Then a downgrade with SVN Tortoise should work?
