Will IW4M allow pirated game copies?

Since there is no checking mechanism, the answer is yes, but we are not responsible for your illegal acts, nor do we recommend you to do so.

 

What does it support?

Everything that was in aIW's IW4M2 (such as mod support, dedicated servers, custom textures).

However, since Activision will not allow us emulating their service, IW4M only supports dedicated servers, and not matchmaking.

 

Is the source code public?

Client-side source is public, including the code for dedicated servers. The master-server source, along with the anti cheat source (aCI), however, will not be available.

 

Can I transfer my stats/rank hack?

Old stats from alterIWnet will be imported automatically on the first start; any other stat files can be imported using EAM, which can be found in any number of places.

 

Can I play if I'm VAC banned on Steam?

Yes, as we cannot verify which game you were banned from, this status is irrelevant. If you want to be better safe than sorry, make a copy of your Modern Warfare 2 folder from steamapps, and put the IW4M files into the new folder.

 

Do I have to have the DLC on Steam to play the DLC maps on IW4M?

No, as we cannot verify that you do or do not have the DLC on Steam, you will not be incurred any limitations on the client.

 

Is there any anti-cheat?

There is a functional anti cheat that is constantly being updated. Cheat reports are not allowed, nor needed.

You are missing the DLC packs/related IWD files for Modern Warfare 2. Update your game on Steam, or download iw_22.iwd and iw_23.iwd and put them in the 'main' subdirectory in your MW2 directory.

 

The client is updated, but when I play I have no ammo.

That means the server on the one you are playing is not up to date. Play on another server or ask the server admin (politely) to update.

 

Weapon index mismatch for 'destructible_car'.

You cannot change your ingame name, without making a new account or asking a moderator nicely.

is there a way to fix my lack of crosshairs with out some hack? also is there a way to pop the log in box again (stupid me set it to auto) I want to see if my old account still works.

 

Check your config_m2.cfg.

Also, delete your iw4m.ini in your root folder for the logins.

 

The AI zombies mod is really stupid in that it insist on removing your crosshair and you have to reset it everytime you want to play a regular game. But I still love it

We have some anti-cheat, it's not finished though so don't be mad.

Also, where you playing on servers with a * green asterisk? Those are aRev servers and they don't have anti-cheat.

Go to filter, and make legacy servers "off". Play on the remaining servers, then you will have anti-cheat.

It's most likely something to do with the coding for the bots. In a way, it is IW4M because since the update they haven't worked.

When i create my stats with PSE and Iport with EAM doesn't save at next restart of the game . Why? I've checked all the topics and nothing.

It's a bug with the master server.

Make sure you try '/uploadstats', and playing a round until the END of the match. I have the same type of issue, that the master server won't accept my class changes. I fixed that through playing a match on a FourDeltaOne server until the end of the round. However I managed to successfully import EAM.

It shouldnt of.... How did you install it? (was it Steam or Cracked SP?)
