Redownload the skidrow version, after installing make all the game files read-only, the install 4D1 using the client installer.

i downloaded the game from a torrent site but i got this error

i would update it but i didn't find the updater , should i download the game again ?

Post in correct area! And download the Client Updater from the announcements!

Still can't seem to import stats from EAM. Even trying to play a whole match, trying /uploadstats after, etc.

First.. how do you add friends.. with the new Friends section? My second question is.... what do you run the demo videos with? I tried windows media player and it couldnt work and Real player.. they both failed. any help?

The friends list is currently unavailable at the moment for full use. It pulls friends of your Steam list.

 

Secondly, demos are playing with the IW4M application itself. The common errors thread (in my signature) has a tutorial.

Just download it using the big yellow download button on the frontpage, it'll update itself after installation.

I am currently speaking with a few major hosting companies, and they are asking for some sort of proof that 4D1 is a legal modification and that there wouldn't be no legal issues for them to start selling MW2 4D1 servers.

 

Can you provide such an answer so that i can replay to them.

Also another thing. We do not emulate the original MW2 modification, which was what made alterIWnet illegal. Instead we have coded a completely original server modification.
