You've misunderstood him, game will only check if you own it on Steam, it won't do anything with VAC. And about DLC, NTA said he's unable to make a check on those, so if you want to be legit, you should buy it.

Your steam account will only be used to check if you have MW2, so you should be able to run it like aIW, by copying the IW4M game files somewhere else, and leaving the steam files untouched.

So i could link my steam account(which does have legit mw2),but then copy the files need to run iwm4 over my old alteriw install?

You need help, seriously. MW2 Steam version sucks crap, and aCI was an even bigger success than VAC, banning people up to 99.9% of the time. "Are you telling me I still need to buy the game?" Well no dip. If you already have the game, and than you said "Better Play The original in that case" . Makes NO sense. IF you have it, MOD it. No one gives crap bout steam, or IW in that case. :roll:

i do have a license mw2 but the problem is that it takes time to load the game...not like mw3 its better..any server i can play with the mw2...for my own opinion mw2 still the best mw3 sucks i dont like it

You can't play on any server. IW4M hasn't been released yet.

I have two quick questions,

1) Could you unlock /cg_fovscale in console to allow it to go up to 1.125? For players coming from CoD4 Promod (theres lots of us), 80 fov seems too small, and you're too far zoomed down sight (1.125 makes you zoomed further out when ADS). Not to mention it looks better zoomed out. You could probably copy the scripting from CoD4 Promod.

2) Could you allow up to 250 fps? 125 and 250 give advantages and I'd like to use 250

It effects the jump height, the "character's rate of silent run" and fall damage. At least in cod4.

Also, the question which framerate is enough and where the human eyes limit is, is pretty tricky.

I am pretty sure lots of people can tell the difference between 60 and 250fps in cod4. Myself included.

AlterIWnet was meant to add what MW2 was missing, dedicated servers and mods, not to provide people an easy way to find a game for free.
