Just because IW lied and acted like they gave a shit did not mean that they actually had plans for MW2 ...

 

They also hinted pre-release that it was going to support dedicated servers to get pre-orders up then said fuck you pc community ...

 

I do not believe that Valve/Steam had anything to do with the downfall of this game other than its piece of crap VAC and most of the fault in that not working correctly falls in the developers hands not Valves.

 

I hate steam but I use it to play over 75 different games as it does make it more convenient and is a requirement for most and only mw2/mw3 have I seen the massive VAC issues that we have had.

 

$team is a good idea for playing games online but if that means removing LAN and prohibiting the user from playing offline then Valve can go to hell. do you deny that if Valve didn't exist that COD would still be as awesome as ever(eg. COD4)?

Lan Play is not important to me ... I cant think of the last time i had 12 people over to play a game ......

Steam is actually quite decent if you think about it.

If anybody stopped lan play, it was the developers of the game themselves.

Almost all of steam games have lan play available.

They choose the features it can have, or can't have.

Valve has nothing to do with the creation of the game other than giving it a free spot on steam and selling it to their community/communities.

There is one question, that's bothering me. Some fag hacked my Steam account but only deleted my friendlist and cheated on a CS server -> VAC-Ban. MW2 is NOT affected so I wrote a request to Steam if they could transfer my games to a new account. No answer till now.

 

My question: When i bind my 4D1 account to my Steam account now, will I be able, if I get my games tranfered to a new Steam account to unbind my 4D1 account from the old Steam account?

Hey I've got a problem with my Steam-Version of CODMW2: I start the game, click on "search game" (my game is actually on german, it says "Spiel suchen") and in the lists there are 0/0 players online. When I try to search a game, I simply stay in my lobby and nothing happens, but I doubt that there are no users online, aren't there?

 

I've got the same problem with the legit MW2. Maybe there's one option to solve that.

Start the game and first of all run a "private match" on any maps or game modes. (you'll be alone in this match) Wait for the match time overs and after that start the normal "Find games"' -> FFA/TDM/ect.. It's possible that the game will be searching for a lobby and you can join for that.

It's work for me 100 %...

There will not be a download link to the base game, which you will need to get from Steam, but the ability to download the modified IW4M files will be kind of necessary.

There's no download for the IW4M mod yet. It hasn't been released. You will be able to download those files and add them to your legit copy of MW2 when it is finally released.

So, there will be new Maps and Gametypes. Right ?
