Lets take it from the beginning I did all the steps as they were required, forward the ports and such done everything server runs

opened the game in another folder

1-My server (i cant see it either in lan or the server list)

2-Nobody can see it! -________-

3-How to change the server name , game type and stuff

4-whats b3? (ive read all the 18 pages of this forum and feel like @__@)

Any help will be apreciated alot! : )

1- Have you forward your ports? added port exceptions to your Firewall's, also LAN Tab isn't functional..

3-You can change them via the server.cfg located in IW5M/admin/ folder

4- B3 is BigBrotherBot, it is basically a in-game RCON tool in which you can kick,ban,changemaps etc

thanks for replying, The thing is i have forwarded the ports and all turned my windows firewall off! btw can u plz tell me how to create exception? I dont think there is need for that since the firewall isnt working and Yeah form where can i get b3?

You must go to Server.cfg and search

 

Specify server visibility (1 = LAN, 2 = Internet (default) )
+set dedicated 2

 

an make 2 not 1 lan is not for everyone 2 ist for everyone

i made it (2) Still cant see my server in the game, btw thanks for replying :oops: since im new to the server stuff so Really need alot of help lol!

Other users might be able to see it since your router might not be able to query your own IP Address..

It could be that your router is unable to query your own IP or you haven't forward your ports or added port exceptions to your firewall..

Also LAN Tab is not functional

man i already forwarded my ports and i switched off firewall of both antivrus and windows..i dnt knw what the problem is...m using reloaded version..

Disable your router firewall, also ask a friend to check if he could see your server on the "Server List",because as i said earlier some routers can't query their own IP Addresses..

guyss there is one more prob.. i already forwarded my ports but whenever i check tht port in online port checker it shows tht port is closed...i dnt knw wat is happening i turned off all firewalls of my computer as well as my router's...

Ask a friend of yours if he can see your dedicated server on the server list, because it might be that your router isn't able to query your own IP Address...

Find your internal IP by typing "ipconfig" in command prompt,

Then in IW5M open your in-game console and type

connect [internal IP]:[PORT]

eg-

connect 192.168.1.2:27072

Did you enter your internal IP?

Also bes sure that you set:

+set dedicated 2

in the server.cfg

Already set it to 2 (internet)

 

Still can't connect to my server ._.

Did you enter your internal IP?

Also bes sure that you set:

+set dedicated 2

in the server.cfg

It doesn't really matter if you enter "1 or 2"

 

Anyway, could you copy your dedicated server entries and post them in

 tags?
