Me and my friends can't connect to the server.

 

Hi guy's so here how my story gose...

-instaled mw3 (clean)

-then downloaded the 4d1 server tools file and put them in game directory, updated...

-made my ip stattic then fowarded this ports 27015,27016,27017 and 8766

-just to be sure i turned of my firewall and added ports iw5m_server.exe and iw5m.exe to the exception list and later turned off my anti virus.

-i put the default.dspl (edited and made my classic maprotation accordenly to the dsr. files that i have) file and server.cfg file (changed to internet visable 2, and puted the same fowarded ports accordenly) in "admin" i also put default_gametypes drs. (default_kc, default_oic etc.) files.

-changed parameters in shortcut that i made from iw5m_server.exe file like this "C:\iw5m\iw5m_server.exe +set net_queryport 27015 +set net_port 27016 +set net_masterServerPort 27017 +set sv_config "server.cfg" +start_map_rotate"

 

So i tought everything is ok im finished here now i can start the server. (i hope i did not miss anything)

 

Double click on shortcut=and everything gose like it should. The beautyfull console window pops-up and start reading... and it shows me this

So i go in game to connect to my server and it says conecting,connecting,connecting,connecting...server timed out... :? :? :?

 

What did i do wrong...?

There you got your problem. You're trying to set the ports both from the shortcut and the cfg, and the ports in use are actually 27021 and 27019 (wich you didn't forward)

Does anyone out there have a bat file that will restart MW3 if it crashes?

 

Or is there a way to turn off in game chat?

I Tried seting the parameters on server exe shortcut only +start_map_rotate in console was writen:

OK so i went to portfowarded that ports, 27020 and 27019 including the default ports 15,16 and 17 even 14 and 8766. Hmm so i tought just in case i will test that ports if they are opend.

it seems that my modem just dont want to open that ports -.- i tried many times aplying the port setings but still no positive response...what do i do now ;( . Except buying a new modem

Thomson TWG870 but that was yesterday today i have a new modem Technicolor TC7200 my Internet Provider gave me for free :mrgreen: ... i thinked that would solve the port opening problem :idea: ... and the problem is still the same :shock: ...still cant open ports :shock: ...i tried enabling the DMZ on my internal IP but did not do any good still the ports are closed ...tried looking up for some instructions on the net but no luck ... i think its even worse now , just dont know why the hell it wont open my damn ports ffs

He means when you change the gametype it causes some problems... When you change from Search'n'Destroy to Teamdeadthmatch you have only one life...

dude i got exactly the same till the end of the client install video but when i run launchiw5m the console gives me an error :
