Best mod For mw2 in the WORLD ! i<3uuuu

I cant get it to run, always get the same error:

Do anyone know anything to fix this.

 

Btw i only edited the perks.

 

Which version are you running? CSS or Full?

 

Im using Full and i only modified the perks.

 

Does it matter that i use it on Steam and not on IW4M?

 

Try redownloading your copy, you may have corrupted it somehow. =/ Not sure. You shouldn't be getting an error like that. That indicates a game gsc file may be missing, so just re-download the mod. You'll have to set up your strike chain again.

Maybe because it didn't modify any core files like v6 does. Who knows. But yeah your welcome!

6.1 - console spews http://i.jeremych.com/1bb0d3.png, then says 1200 weapon assets too many or so, then crashes.

 

Updated to r82 to no avail as recommended by NTA.

 

Ignore it, my fault for not updating /raw/.

My stats don't save. Or at least my levels don't.

Hmm....if a function that starts up on spawn doesn't end when the player disconnects...I.E.

 

"endon "disconnect"" or a similar command...if that's missing...

 

Perhaps THAT's whats causing the problem. I'll double check to make sure all the functions in the mod have that scripted and if not, I'll submit a patch ASAP.

 

EDIT: Yep, my suspicions were correct. Found several functions running without a "self endon("disconnect")" protocol. Patched that and tested it out by kicking a few bots out of games. The error seems to be fixed, so I'm uploading a v6.2 patch right now, DL link will be up within an hour.

So I downloaded the "new version" on fourdeltaone.net homepage, the "IW4M Updater and Installer", I ran it and, and ran the game then. Ok, new skin etc... But when I wanted to play a private match and the bots console commands did not worked ! The svr_bots command is not recognize

Download the CSS version if you don't want any MW3 files.

Are you putting a forward slash before console commands? your commands should look like this:

 

/svr_bots 11

 

I just tested the mod on 4D1 and it works fine, so thats why I think youre just missing a forward slash in the command console.

No it's not that, I put a "/" before, but it does not work :/

I've been searching and trying different things for a moment and i think my problem come of the installation of the new version, I had certainly made a wrong install.

I know it's not the good topic to ask this question, but if you can explain me the steps to update the game I will be grateful.

 

So if you can explain me, there it is what I done.

I downloaded "Installer". I Launched it, chose my game folder, clicked on install.

It downloaded some files and created a shortcut in the start menu. I found weird that nothing changed in the game folder, like nothing was installed. So I right click on the shortcut to see where it was downloaded. It was in "C:\Users\*******\AppData\Local\IW4M\LaunchIW4M.exe".

I don't know why it is in AppData but I launched the shortcut, and after a download of some other files the game started.

But when I start a private match, choose the class, I spawn with the countdown, and the specialist killstreaks are not on the right side ! There is nothing, like there is no mod, but the .iwd is in \m2demo and the in-game menu is MW3's one with the MW3 weapons skins etc.

So I don't know what to do

I tried to cut/paste the content of AppData folder into my game folder but when I launch MW2, the specialist killstreaks work but I become level 1 with no prestige (I was lvl48 prestige2)...

 

Ps: I just re install all the game, just like I said above but without cut/paste the AppData\Local\IW4M folder, and at the first launch, the game start properly with my level and the MW3 menu but without the specialist killstreaks in game, but when I closed and re opened the game a second time, I was level 1

The most recent release of 4D1 has been EXTREMELY glitchy, I will say that. However, it's not something that I can definitively blame on the mod itself, as very few core elements of the mod have changed that it would no longer work. I'll see if I can replicate your problem in 4D1, but for now, I think this is just us bumping up against the rough edges of 4D1 in its current beta form.

 

EDIT: I just updated to the latest 4D1 version and started up a match. Bots worked fine and spawned, everything worked perfectly until the game crashed at around 15 kills with a fatal error. This occurred every time I played at around the same # of kills. I am thoroughly convinced that this is a flaw with 4D1, in which case, we'll have to wait out a future, more stable release. =/

 

Also, it's worth noting that the rank reset issues are a problem with the 4D1 npserver. This is a problem for players across the board, so I guarantee you the mod isn't to blame for that.
