I apologize for this, perhaps I'm just a derp and didn't fully understand it.

I place the specialist.iwd in the M2DEMO folder, launches, everything's all good, stuff loads. But the bots won't work.

Now, I have used RSE before, and so I thought "Oh, mabye I have to launch RSE after it." So I did that.

Then, I get random errors (looked at forums, didn't see a fix) saying that it "cannot load image -blahblahblah-" These images are not preview_mp_, they are things like cardflag_newzealand and cardicon_grisby, which I notice are in the images.

I am going to look at this topic again and see if I did it wrong, but that is my error.

EDIT: added image to top of post, always different "cannot load *image*", just this time it decided to pick the india title to not load

Open up the mod .IWD file and delete images folder. You won't get the MW3 images and stuff. i got that error too and that fixed it, you just don't get the MW3 stuff.

Private Matches and RSE bugs have been patched, so everything should run fine. I haven't verified that r100 fixes the problem, but if NTA says it's fixed, then in all likelihood it is, indeed, fixed.
Is this is the current version or the up-coming version?

 

This is as per the most recent revision of 4D1 itself. The game itself has been patched, according to NTA.

I ended up having the "Hunk_UserAlloc: out of memory for 'Scr_BeginLoadScripts'" error so I fixed it for you :) Also I added oilrig and invasion waypoints too :)

You seriously rock :) I'll run a test on it as soon as I switch to my Win7 partition :) (I'm in Mac OSX right now =P)

 

EDIT: Just tested it, works great =D I'll add the Oilrig/Invasion waypoints into the Full version of this mod and my Assault Strike Package mod first chance I get!

fyi waypoints are on mp_*.gsc, oilrig.gsc, iw4_credits.gsc and invasion.gsc. that way it won't bitch of a memory error. it seems all waypoints from RSE method load every waypoint there is but not used.

After the most recent updates to 4D1, I've noticed that people now acquire their normal killstreaks in this mod. I'll be updating this with a patch that automatically activates the "no-killstreaks" scr variable.

Now that I think about it, the most recent revisions of 4D1 have been causing serious problems with this mod. This may be one of them. The game files THEMSELVES should have a _bohud.gsc file installed...it's possible that file was removed in r104. If that's the case, I'll have to patch it along with the r104 glitch that's allowing people to obtain assault pointstreaks in conjunction with their specialist strike chain.
