Mostly beacuse NTA has his own issues and people can't undertand them as they only want to play a free game.

Bas, I know you are pretty much in a state of mental instability. But all of us here, at least the sensible ones, want you to make the decision that is best for your life. Try to get some education (I understand you are stuck in a very hard situation), and get a job. I know you have no education to back up your insane cleverness, but this site, and aIW, and the various things you have done can and have proved to thousands, if not millions of people you are a very competent developer, and you are insanely smart.

 

I don't care about the site. While IW4M/IW5M are really nice projects, and we have insane fun playing them, do what is best for your life. Don't bother with this site if you cannot manage it. We know the situation, and while thousands of people may continue begging you, just ignore them. Let them ungrateful fools go onto alterRev, and eventually figure out how good your work was, and how they are incompetent idiots.

 

But from the point the site is shutting down, I want to personally thank you for all your work, you dedication and the length of time you spent maintaining this wonderful site. It was great fun this site, and I enjoyed every minute.

I've just woken up after a night of "partying" and I feel very unconfortable about this, I understand Bas' point of view, and I understand why he can be so annoyed, but might I just add that him taking some time off is not the closing of fourdeltaone, I'm not saying he's useless, I'm saying he's a very good person, and I believe he needs some time off, I would like him to give what he currently has to someone he trusts can continue this, heck, even I'd do it.. This staff team cannot just disintegrate and disperse, it's been great (even if I've been in and out, that's my fault) and I do not believe that just "shutting down" is a possibility..

 

I'll say it again, NTAuthority, you are great, I've never encountered anyone as remotely interesting or motivating as you, even if you have your problems, humanity is never perfect, there are idiots, there are spoilt retards, there are poor good people, that's just life, but please, I understand that you find the need to leave, but don't close this down, I find it annoying too that people just scream around "OMG I WANT FREE GAME NTA IS SUCH A FAG" but that's the idiot part of the community, there are many people here who are very good people (staff team and others in here), I hope you have trust in either me or someone else to continue this, and as far as the financial point is, I can handle that..

I mean why close down? You have come this far into the projects... Especially in IW4M. It's looking like it can be actually a stand-alone game(this is not really possible but you know). Things are just getting started for IW5M and GBH2 is well dead AFAIK. Bas you have our support and especially mine....

I always respect your work and if it wasn't for your project I would be really screwed or maybe not play games at all. Bas, your're a very smart guy and created a wonderful project for almost over 3 years. Fuck the ungrateful bastards that tried to ruined it (alterrev and flashbox) and kids going "SERVER DOWN!?!?!".

 

 

Everybody in the staff understands mostly.. I think you should consider to removing the chat link off the front page so nobody can whine in the channel as much. If not we all should move to -staff channel since its much peaceful and let the main channel riot in hell and maybe have a beta.fourdeltaone.net for testing only so doesn't effect the main userbase.

 

I just wanted to give you some ideas so you can be less calm figuring out the new Tnet.

I'll rather wait to see what Bas does. He has gone down the hill for the past months, which has probably lead to this situation. God knows that will happen in the upcoming weeks/months. He might get interned permanently as he said, or be able to get past this "crisis" and find some motivation after all.
