As I've seen a pretty notable amount of people posting about T6, and wanting another IWxM-style patchset for it, and some confusion exists in replies to those requests, I decided to make clear my stance on the topic:

 

I can neither confirm or deny my working on a T6 modification ('modification' being features such as user-controlled dedicated servers, modifications, developer commands and similar), but one thing is clear: if there'd be any, it will not be offered here on 4D1; but you people will find it eventually.

Alright.. so if we do see a T6 modification on some other site (notably alterRev, although unlikely you'd collaoborate with them in the current state), it could potentially come from you? Alright, thanks for clearing your stance on the topic, now we can clearly notify users about the official developer and site management view/stance on this topic.

Wait, where was any implication of contact with 'Reaver' mentioned anywhere in that post? The only mentioned part regarding any (note the any, it doesn't just have to be teknogods, and it is unlikely to be them due to the past history of nta and tg - but i won't get onto that here) projects didn't actually state a specific project; it could be anyone of the other projects out there.

Well, aRev wasn't implied anywhere either, and yet you noted it.

Still, that doesn't matter.

 

There's probably a project already in which NTA is invited, but he's not yet sure if he'll join them. Or maybe his announcement was random statement, covering all possible options, except the one of TX2 being hosted by 4d1.

I'm not one to talk such a thing but, isn't this kind of "announcement" that makes the users around here go "OMGZ T6 IS COMING WTF" ?

 

In your place i would just say that information about the matter are not of user's concern.

 

Sounds harsh maybe but it would avoid the mass freaking out of the same users that usually go in the chat in mirc and say "OMG 4D1 SUCKS".

 

Well those are my 2 cents, i hope this 'project' goes well. I'm having a lot of fun with Tx2 in Ps3 and Steam right now though.

Hopefully, the project won't turn out like alterMW3 or alterOps. Hundreds of kids asking for it.
