When Standalone client updater finishes downloading a cmd error window pops up and says:The MSS DDL file is installed in the Windows or Windows System directory-it must be installed in the application directory and then onother window pops up which says iw4m.dat error apllication.I have placed mss32.ddl file in the game directory but the error still occurs.At present,i use AlterRev but i would like to install 4D1..I had the same problem in the past but i found out in the forums how to fix it but now i can't..I think i must delete a file or something..Pls help me!!!!

Go to the IW4M section, at the top you will see a stickied thread made by me. Click it, and number 38 has your answer.

Please no direct links to torrent sites. Also, get the skidrow version, proper. Then install 4D1. Simple as that.

But I downloaded iw_22.iwd and iw_23.iwd and it still doesn't work.

guys i opened up iw4 install.exe and it worked fine but at 96% it says "Error: LaunchComponent.zip has failed to extract properly!" Please help me guys!! i really want to play this game

XP isn't supported for this mod. That doesn't mean that you can't get it to work though, but you are on your own, or upgrade to a newer OS.

Can you type http://iw4.prod.fourdeltaone.net/content/iw4m/ into your address bar? Tell me if you can reach that page, it should say 403 Forbidden, though.
