What is the goal of IW5M?

The goal of IW5M is to offer a proper online-enabled experience for IW5, featuring well-familiar features such as friends lists, server-side statistics, semi-limited modification support, the upcoming TNet service and downloadable content support.

 

Why IW5M when there's other projects?

The only other project I can think of doesn't offer any modification support by itself, nor does it offer addon MP maps as far as I'm aware.

 

When will IW5M be released?

It's been released already.

Vehicles... Biggest maps in CoD series... Everything good from CoD1 with new things... CoD1 and UO is the only cods if your hands are shooted, you drop the weapon... Sprint while realoading... Swith from automatic to Semi-Automatic The CoD with most realism and fun = the best. Today it's full of hackers because Punkbuster is a very basic anticheat. I think modding and developing CoD1 with UO is more easy than IW4M and IW5M. IW1M would be more much fun! And I think after this no limitations because of Activison because it's outdated and abandoned.

I guess what they mean by steam check is that you will have to apply the 4D1's IW5MP patch on the original game. ( just like TeknoGods) .
