Around the end of last year, I -- after all kinds of issues that caused my thoughts to get more unstable, partly caused by the project -- actually posted a statement in the staff forum, and stated I'd pretty much be resigning -- or at least, taking a break. I joined this project because I just love when people take something broken and try to fix it by listening to reason and, best of all, to the community. Having said that, I'm a little disappointed about the last update. I like the idea but don't like it how it was just thrown out there with no warning, no pool. People are resistant to changes, so many will just vote no, but in the end the true community spirit . This is just to big to implement without a proper debate, but I didn't even see the idea brought up in the Core Staff section. So what next ? Turn into IW and just ignore the players that must support the consecinses of our actions ?

... it's just one small damn change. Really, how can one line of code being changed explicitly 'alter the game too much', and completely change the game dynamics? It can't. And then again, many of the complainants had their reason for complaining set as 'a game-altering change'. Many other games are changed weekly, and then complaints also occur, and the change is tweaked for better balancing. IW changed many parts of the game itself themselves in early patches, but they've stopped doing that. If we can fix some of the things they forgot to patch, or perform other balancing changes, why shouldn't we? The original goal of 'providing an IWNet emulator' has been passed month…
