• Project "Synthesis". Basically, interoperability with the most common other IW4 client; 'alterRevolution'. The server won't let older IW4M clients join, and the client will have some issues with older IW4M servers, but an update will be forced sometime in the future, together with an updater. Lots of compatibility hacks are used to allow joining of alterRevolution servers and allowing alterRevolution clients to join IW4M servers.
   
  Let's hope this finally creates peace between the projects.
   
  Also included: libnp update which might cause some more stability regarding 'fetching rank and unlocks'.

Or it could be old AIW clients that are going to have problems connecting.

Sorry for my lack of understanding this things, but how exactly does it work?

servers in serverlist with a green asterix are aRev servers. Joining them changes stuff on the client so to them it looks like a normal client is joining.

 

Joining a normal IW4M server changes everything back.

 

If an alterRev client joins an IW4M servers, everything would still work, except they would get spammed with DOWNLOAD 4D1, pretty much

Maybe based off of ping? Some people can't get good ping... Might be some nearby aRev servers...

A compromise maybe? And I'm glad to hear this. If everything turns out right I hope this will bring both of clients together

As long as nothing gets seriously messed up, its not a bad idea.

Both, aRev and 4D1 are getting more players.

Oh, and on a side note: That ammo bug is back.

Very good strategy to get more players, but i think that 4d1 servers will be full because there are aCi. Anyway nice done

Also, jeremych with this you may want to install b3 on your server and get some admins... Especially your rustxp4 server...
