My server is fully updated and everything runs smoothly but no one can see it in the server browser. People can connect to my external IP but still can't see my server in the server browser. I've talked to a couple of people and they have the exact same problem. I have honestly tried everything. (Please don't say "have you port forwarded)

I only copy + pasted the parameters from my old promod server...

Your server might be loading the wrong server.cfg file..

Do you have any other server.cfg in your /players or /main?

nope Thilan, i only have the one at the bottom of my /main folder, what can I do?

set g_password

can also set a server password. See you you have that command laying around, somewhere on the cfg.

hello I was wondering on mapRotation problem

I want to add more than 3 maps to the map rotation... what is the syntaxe to do it

mine is

and in the shortcut

it loads the firs map and crashes on loading the second

Everything seems fine there (although you can clean your startup parameters a bit) -> ...exe" -dedicated +set party_maxplayers 18 +set net_port 28960 +exec server.cfg +map_rotate

Look at console_mp.log (on m2demo folder) and try to see what the error is. I suspect that might be some missing or damaged map file.

Can I use 1 copy of IW4M and run 6 servers though it? Just changing log location and server cfgs to server1 ect?

Did not know if it would cause a issue.

You should use a different cfg for each server, (for obvious reasons) different gamelog files if you want to use b3, and you must use a net_port for each server (best set through each server's shortcut arguments)

If you meet these requirements, you can run as many servers "as you want/your hardware specs allow".

I am having an issue with server.cfg I have it located here - G:\Steam\steamapps\common\Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2\main

 

i only changed the name. I have set up a server for cod4, AlterIWnet ETC ETC so everything should be setup right.

 

However it does not seem to be reading it.

When you changed the name from the server.cfg then you have to edit the parameters too....
