As for your second issue, besides forwarding the ports, they have to be allowed on whatever firewall that there might be in the way. It's usually the anti-virus or router's firewall blocking the traffic.

Already checked that but it still doesn't work :( But thanks for this fast answer!

 

EDIT: Works now, just had to port forward ALL Ports for MW2. But I still can't play on my own map, in pirvate Match it says something about low ping players only to my friends and when I want to set up a dedi server the console freezes. Please help me it's annoying. ^^

I have been trying to run the new maps on my server, they seem to take a little to load and come up with this error. But the maps still load

I tried now for hours setting up a server.

IT DID NOT APPEAR IN THE SERVERLIST--- THE PROBLEM WAS THE NAT TYP OR UPNP

Everybudy can see my server now in the list. If my friend wants to connect than the server does not answer.

He gets the msg: PLEASE WAIT Joining game session attempt 1-24 then unable to connect to the host.

Disabled Router/Windows Firewall? Also have you forwarded the correct ports for your server?

I am working with windows server 2008. My windows firewall is off. i opend all the ports correctly. 192.168.0.152:28960 -> 84.72.205.31:28960 - for server

192.168.0.152:28961 -> 84.72.205.31:28961 - for b3

 

if you try with this ip you can join my server without a problem.

If you try to connect over the serverlist it does not work.

 

In the serverlist of http://www.tdc-clan.eu/4d1/ I can find my server too but it has a strange port and this port works!

84.72.205.31:60752 I dont know why. I did not port forwarded it to 60752.

For me it worked when I port forwarded the following ports (I had the same problem):

1500-1500, 3005-3005, 3101-3101, 3478-4380, 27000-27050, 28960-28960, 28961-28961 for both UDP and TCP.

Nothing changed. I also tried DMZ mode and Port triggering. (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Port_Triggering).

Does not work. I still dont know from where that ports are:

Hmm... You could ask NTAuthority he could maybe help you. ;)

You have to forward ports.Also if your not playing on LAN you have to use external IP Address.

Meh... double fail there... why are you trying to connect to the masterserver's port?

You need to connect to your LAN IP:game port (localhost won't work)

Use this command on the server to find the port:

net_port

then connect using something like this:

connect 192.168.1.1:28961

or whatever your LAN IP and your net_port are.

A friend and I are hosting an iSnipe server... Our problem is that each time the server needs to be reset and returns online, the first game goes to Rust, Team Deathmatch without the mod and B3 until next game where the iSnipe mod and B3 is loaded with Search and Destroy, like we have set. I think the server's cfg is being executed after the map being loaded, and that's why you only have your settings active on the second map.

Also, you don't need to define the gametype on the shortcut since it's already defined on the cfg (same as you don't need to start the mod from the cfg if you include it on the startup parameters)

The second thing happens, because of the first. Is your server.cfg properly setup and in the right folder?

Maybe you don't have windows set to show file extensions.

Then when you name it "server.cfg", the file is actually named "server.cfg.cfg", or "server.cfg.txt" (hidden extension)

Go on windows folder options and untick the box to hide extensions for known file types. Then make sure that the file is named "server" and that the extension is ".cfg"
