Maybe you don't have windows set to show file extensions.

Then when you name it "server.cfg", the file is actually named "server.cfg.cfg", or "server.cfg.txt" (hidden extension)

Go on windows folder options and untick the box to hide extensions for known file types. Then make sure that the file is named "server" and that the extension is ".cfg"

When I want to join my server it says ingame: Disconnected from Steam.

What to do? Other players can't join, too.

Hey guys! Sorry to bother you but i have also a problem with the server. Did everything in steps and hosted the server. The server it self works fine and I can join in game but when it comes to other people...well... they can't join my game. Any suggestions what might be a problem?

Either net_port isn't forwarded on your router, or it's being blocked on some your firewalls.

Yes...the port is closed, but I can't find the reason for it...all firewalls are down, added iw4m in exception list aswell as game client and still something is blocking the port...any ideas what should i do? I checked ports on router for like 5 times, and they are all correct... 1 part is not clear to me. When you wrote port forward your PC - what do you mean by that?

Umm have you even tried portforwarding?

The server's game port has to be forwarded to your computer.

As an example, let's say that all incoming traffic for port 28961 is ment to go to the computer on 192.168.1.2 address.

Yes, you can create a dedicated server with any mod.

You can even start the mod with the server by adding +fs_game command on the server's startup arguments.

Disable your router/windows firewall ehich could be blocking your ports..

No one can connect to my server in four delta one. My console looks fine (error free). I can see my server on my server browser. I can connect to my own server. But no one joins. Also my friends cant connect to my server using command "/connect xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" and no one joins for hours.

Help.
