Because IW4M2 was entirely Steam independent, I wasn't concerned about getting a VAC ban. Now that the new IW4M requires owning the game on Steam, is it possible to get a VAC ban for playing on 4D1? Something about the OpenID architecture has been nagging at me, that's all...

So guys just one thing I didn't get, do I have to have the MW2 Map Packs in order to play IW4 in the future?

I know this will reimplement dedicated servers but will the matchmaking option be avalible again as of the fact the steam version's matchmaking doesnt work aswell as the Alteriw.net one did. Im not fucked either way just a question that i had to ask outa curiosity ^^ Blewk

I know aiw is dead, i tried the game minutes ago and the exe actually do nothing but then... how is this possible? Uploaded with ImageShack.us I never closed my server but I noticed that there are still people that can join my server, last access today :?

Hello dear Community, I wonder if someone has a way to import the Playerstats from AlterIW.net to the normal Steam Game. I tried with EAM but it wont work and will not export from AlterIW. Yet I've heard about things like NTa could stop the IW4M project, and the opposite, I would like to have a few precisions. --> Is the IW4M projet continued or not? --> I'm not asking for eta, but if continued, should we expect it in a month or in a year? --> If released, will it contain a dlc checker, I mean if you have the game, but not DLCs, will you be able to play on DLC's maps? I really didn't like mw2 for several reasons, but the biggest of all was iw net. I came back every once in a while when I missed the maps afghan, or terminal, but other than that, black ops has been great, and I've been playing it a lot, even now. On a whim, I did a search this morning to see if there were any mods, or if someone had come up w/a way to play dedicated servers on mw2, and found aiw... And that I had totally missed the friggin boat... I would've been able to put up w/the horrible maps, noob tubing, commando sprinters, etc, if there was a chance to play on dedicated servers. For some reason I just get the urge to play, and I totally regret not searchi…

How do I transfer my stats from aIW MW2 to Steam MW2?

So since alteriwnet is to be down 4 good(thx to those muthafukkas ActiveripoffurmoneyVision) i decided maybe i'll buy black ops legit but my question is this: is there any way after i install legit black ops i could somehow overwrite old prestige files coz' i played hard(he he)to get to prestige 15 and i wouldn't wanna start from scratch?? tha same goes for mw2 thx in advance&RESPECT! 8-)

Ok, so I know this has probably been told several times but can some one explain to me how this new way is going to work? I mean fully explain it. What does IW4M stand for? Is that what the new "Alternet" going to be called? I keep hearing that I will now need a full steam copy? If true why is this? Will I need all of the map packs included? Hi Everyone! So I want to add the tutorial on how to get rid of the error that comes up when you start mw2... It's good if you still want to play Private Match and play with your friends with your favourite Modded game... Isn't it going to put this project in trouble if I will put tutorial here? I know everyone from old forum who manage to try to do it before knows how to open it but the old tutorial will still give you the error and that's why I want to add the tutorial here if it is allowed... So am I allowed to add tutorial here about it?
